A license is a state document certifying the right to carry out the type of economic activity specified in it for a certain period of time if it is installed by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, subject to the fulfillment of license conditions. If the law provides for licensing of a particular type of activity, this means that you can carry it out only after obtaining a license, otherwise your activity will be considered illegal, which in turn may lead to liability. According to the Law of Ukraine "On Licensing Certain Types of Activities", the following types of economic activities are subject to licensing:
- production and repair of firearms and ammunition for them, cold steel, pneumatic weapons with a caliber over 4.5 mm and a bullet speed over 100 meters per second, trade in non-military firearms and ammunition, cold steel, pneumatic weapons with a caliber over 4 .5 millimeters and a bullet speed of over 100 meters per second
- production of industrial explosives
- production of highly hazardous chemicals; operations in the field of hazardous waste management, collection and preparation of certain types of waste as secondary raw materials
- extraction of precious metals and precious stones, precious stones of organogenic formation, semi-precious stones
- production of medicines, wholesale, retail trade in medicines
- production of veterinary medicines and preparations, wholesale, retail trade in veterinary medicines and preparations
- trade in pesticides and agro chemicals (plant growth regulators only)
- production of special means charged with tear and irritating substances, personal protection, active defense and their sale
- development, manufacture of special technical means for obtaining information from communication channels, other means of secretly obtaining information, trade in special technical means for obtaining information from communication channels, other means of secretly obtaining information
- provision of services in the field of cryptographic protection of information (except for services of electronic digital signature), trade in cryptosystems and means of cryptographic protection of information
- implementation, import, export of holographic security elements
- provision of services in the field of technical protection of information
- production of forms of securities, documents of strict accountability
- transportation of oil, oil products by main pipeline, transportation of natural, petroleum gas and gas (Methane) of coal deposits by pipelines and their distribution
- supply of natural gas, gas (methane) from coal deposits at regulated and non-regulated tariffs
- storage of natural gas, gas (methane) from coal deposits in volumes exceeding the level established by the license conditions
- centralized water supply and drainage
- development, testing, production, operation of launch vehicles, spacecraft and their components, ground-based spacecraft control complex and its components
- cultivation of plants included in Table I of the List of Narcotic Drugs, Psychotropic Substances and Precursors approved by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, development, production, manufacture, storage, transportation, purchase, sale (release), import into the territory of Ukraine, export from the territory of Ukraine, use, destruction of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances and precursors included in the said List
- medical practice
- processing of donor blood and its components, production of preparations from them, except for the activities of cord blood banks, other human tissues and cells activities of cord blood banks, other human tissues and cells according to the list approved by the Ministry of Health of Ukraine (activities of cord blood banks, other tissues and human )
- veterinary practice
- issue and conduct of lotteries
- provision of services for the transportation of passengers, dangerous goods, baggage by air, river, sea, road, rail
- procurement, processing, metallurgical processing of non-ferrous and ferrous scrap metal
- collection, primary processing of waste and scrap of precious metals and precious stones, precious stones of organogenic formation, semi-precious stones
- provision of services and performance of fire-fighting works
- provision of services for the protection of property and citizens
- tour operator activity
- activities of arbitration managers (property managers, rehabilitation managers, liquidators)
- mediation in employment abroad
- carrying out works on land management, land appraisal works and land auctions
- activities related to industrial fishing, except for inland water bodies (ponds) of farms
- customs broker activity
- production, export and import of disks for laser reading systems, matrices
- trade in pedigree (genetic), carrying out genetic examination of the origin and anomalies of animals fumigation (disinfection) of regulated objects, determined by the Law of Ukraine "On Plant Quarantine", moved across the state border of Ukraine and quarantine zones
- activities related to the production, trade of pyrotechnics
- activities related to the provision of non-military shooting range services and the operation of hunting stands
- development, manufacture, sale, repair, modernization and disposal of weapons, military equipment, military weapons and ammunition for it production of thermal energy, its transportation by main and local (distribution) heating networks and the supply of thermal energy
- collection and use of information constituting a credit history
- genetic engineering activity in a closed system
- trade in liquid fuels from biomass and biogas
